Metered dose inhaler 1-2 inhalations.
Pre-cardiovert – 5-15mg IV 5-10 minutes prior to cardioversion
Calcium Channel Blocke or beta blocker OD: 3-10mg IV slowly over 3-5min initally.
Cardiac Arrest due to hypomagnesaemia or torsades de pointes: 1-2g of 10% solution IV/IO over 5-20minutes.
Neb: 0.2-0.3mL of a 5% solution diluted in 2.5mL saline
Asthma, COPD, Anaphylaxis: 1-2mg/kg IV
Spray: 1-2 sprays for 0.5-1 second at 5 minute intervals to a max of 3 sprays in 15 minutes.
Transdermal: apply unit to intact skin (chest wall) in varying doses
COPD: 0-2 L/min via nasal cannula or 28%-35% Venturi mask
IV: mix 10-40 units in 1,000mL of nonhydrating diluent: infused at 20-40 milliunits/min. Titrated to severity of bleeding and uterine response
Dysrhythmias: 50-100 mg diluted slow IV every 5-15min PRN; Max dose of 1g
Anticholinesterase Overdose: 1-2g as an IV infusion over 30-60min. Repeat at 250mg every 5min as needed
Maintenane infusion: 25-75 micrograms/kg/min IV/IO
Maintenance dose withing 45-60 minutes: 0.8-1.2 mg/kg IV push
