Hydrogen (H)
Phys: Colorless, odorless, tasteless, lowest density of any element, soluble in water, alcohol, etc.
Chem: Burns in air or oxygen to produce water, combines with other non-metals

Helium (He)
Phys: Colorless, odorless, tasteless, lowest boiling point of any element, superfluidity
Chem: Completely inert. Doesn’t form compounds or react with any other elements

Lithium (Li)
Phys: Soft, silvery, metal, melting point of 180.54*C, 0.6 on Mohs scale
Chem: Reacts slowly with water at room temp, reacts with most acids, doesn’t react with oxygen at room temp, combines with sulfur, hydrogen, nitrogen, and the halogens

Beryllium (Be)
Phys: Hard, brittle, metal, Melting point is 1,287*C, boiling point is <2,500*C, high heat capacity, and heat conductivity. Chem: Reacts with acids and with water, reacts with oxygen in air, beryllium oxide forms a thin skin on the surface of the metal

Boron (B)
Phys: Allotropes, clear red crystals,black crystals, or brown powder, high melting point, ability to absorb neutrons
Chem: Combines with oxygen in the air, not soluble in water, doesn’t react with acids

Carbon (C)
Phys: Allotropes, high melting and boiling points
Chem: doesn’t dissolve or react with water, acids, or most other metals, reacts with oxygen, forms long chains, makes virtually endless strings of atoms

Nitrogen (N)
Phys: Colorless, odorless, tasteless, gas, soluble in water
Chem: Inactive gas at room temp, fixation

Oxygen (O)
Phys: Colorless, odorless, tasteless, gas, allotropes, simple level of atoms and molecules, ozone
Chem: Supports combustion, combines with elements at room temp., reacts with many compounds

Fluorine (F)
Phys: Pale, yellow, gas, strong odor
Chem: Most reactive element

Neon (Ne)
Phys: Colorless, odorless, tasteless, gas
Chem: Chemically inactive

Sodium (Na)
Phys: Silvery-white, metal, waxy, soft, bright and shiny, good conducter
Chem: Very active, reacts with water and many other elements and compounds

Magnesium (Mg)
Phys: Hard, silvery-white, metal, lightest metal, easily fabricated
Chem: Fairly active, combines with many non-metals

Aluminum (Al)
Phys: Silver, metal, bluish, malleable, excellent conducted of electricity, ductile
Chem: Combines slowly with oxygen to form aluminum oxide, reacts quickly with water, fairly active

Silicon (Sl)
Phys: Metalloid, Allotrope, semiconducter
Chem: Relatively inactive at room temp, more reactive at higher temps

Phosphorus (P)
Phys: Allotrope, waxy, transparent, solid, sublimes in vacuum
Chem: Combines easily with halogens, combines with metals to form compounds, catches fire easily when combined with oxygen

Sulfur (S)
Phys: Allotrope, yellow
Chem: Burns, sharp odor, combines with most elements

Chlorine (Cl)
Phys: Dense gas, soluble, reacts chemically with water]
Chem: Very active,combines with all elements but noble gases, doesn’t burn

Argon (Ar)
Phys: Colorless, odorless, tasteless, gas
Chem: Chemically inactive

Potassium (K)
Phys: Soft, silvery-white, metal, low melting point for a metal
Chem: Very active with water all acids and nonmetals

Calcium (Ca)
Phys: Fairly soft, metal, shiny silver surface when cute, melting point is 850*C, boiling point is 1440*C
Chem: Moderately active element, reacts with halogens

Scandium (Sc)
Phys: Metal, silvery-white, solid, slight pink/yellow when exposed to air, melting point of 1538*C, boiling point of 2700*C
Chem: Similar to rare earth metals, reacts readily with acids, doesn’t react easily with oxygen in the air

Titanium (Ti)
Phys: Dark gray, shiny, metal, melting point of 1677*C, boiling point of 3277*C, brittle when cold, becomes malleable and ductile at high temps
Chem: Unreactive, doesn’t combine with oxygen at room temp, becomes more reactive at higer temps

Vanadium (V)
Phys: silvery-white, ductile, metallic-looking, solid, its melting point is about 1900*C, boiling point is 3000*C
Chem: Moderately reactive, doesn’t react with oxygen in air at room temperature, acts like a metal in some cases

Chromium (Cr)
Phys: Hard, steel-gray, shiny, metal, breaks easily
Chem: Active metal, doesn’t react with water, but reacts with most acids

Manganese (Mn)
Phys: Steel-gray, hard, shiny, brittle, metal
Chem: Moderately active model, at higher temperatures, dissolves in most acids

Iron (Fe)
Phys: Silvery-white, metal, ductile, malleable, high tensile strength, melting point is 1536*C
Chem: Very active metal, combines with oxygen in moist air, dissolves in most acids

Cobalt (Co)
Phys: Hard, gray, metal, ductile, and malleable, magnetic
Chem: Moderately reactive, combines slowly with oxygen in air, reacts with most acids

Nickel (Ni)
Phys: Silvery-white, metal, ductile, malleable
Chem: Relatively unreactive, doesn’t combine with oxygen or water or dissolve in acids, becomes more active at higer temperatures

Copper (Cu)
Phys: Reddish-brown, metal, soft, ductile, heat and electricity pass through easily
Chem: Moderately active, dissolves in most adds and in alkalis

Zinc (Zn)
Phys: Bluish-white, metal, shiny surface, not ductile nor malleable at room temp, becomes slightly malleable at higer temps
Chem: Fairly active, dissolves in acids and alkalis

Gallium (Ga)
Phys: Soft, silver, shiny, metal, supercools easily
Chem: Fairly reactive, combines with most non-metals at high temps, reacts with acids and alkalis

Germanium (Ge)
Phys: looks like a metal, shiny, silver, brittle,breaks easy, semiconductor
Chem: Relatively inactive doesn’t dissolve in water, dissolves in hot acids, becomes more active when finely divided

Arsenic (As)
Phys: Allotrope, shiny, gray, brittle, metallic-looking, solid, doesn’t melt when heated
Chem: Metalloid, combines with oxygen when heated in air

Selenium (Se)
Phys: Allotrope, become softer when heated, semiconductor
Chem: Fairly reactive, reacts with nitric and sulfuric acids

Phys: Colorless, odorless, tasteless, gas, low boiling point
